In quite a short time I have received quite a few requests to write in English. Therefore, to all of you who do not speak Finnish or Swedish: Welcome! This is where you’ll get to follow my big adventure in various languages.
My countdown app suggests that my departure is a mere 13 days away. 13 days! This means that I will be in Bangkok in two weeks, and that my days at work will be over in a few.
Next week will be full of packing and getting myself organized, trying to get on top of things. Preparing to leave, both physically and mentally, and say goodbye to friends and family.
Until now the thought of leaving has freaked me out. I am not looking forward to the goodbyes. I have been stressing about this for so long that it has become almost a burden, although it is supposed to be everything but.
Last week I met up with a few friends from abroad, however, and one of them kept telling me that having no plan is the best plan.
Having no plan is the best plan.
I realized he was right. I have the opportunity to do anything I want, anywhere I want. Why, then, waste time being afraid?
Thus, now playing: Whatever will be, will be.
It is with a great sense of relief that I have noticed that I am finally starting to get excited. Nervous, yes, but in a good way. Finally!
Life is going to happen anyways so I might as well enjoy it.
